Barrie's newly formed "THE ANDY PENZAK TRIO" have announced today that the recording for the debut album "ARTISAN" is now finished. Barrie explains "the main recording of the album is now finished we are just waiting on the avialibilty of the right brass players to work on a couple of bits and then we can begin mixing everything". The album also features Alan on guitar, and it is has been rumoured that an album launch gig will take place in 2012. Check the website for details and updates, www.theandypenzaktrio.co.uk. Barrie has today announced that he has co formed along with former Moriarty Keys man Andy Penzak and Green Vigo bassisit Mark Bradley "THE ANDY PENZAK TRIO". APT are currently recording an album with singer John E Taylor, the album will also feature Alan Cadwallader on guitar. The songs for the album will be cover versions of swing standards with a "twist". Recording/ Mixing will take place over the summer with the album expected for release late autumn early winter, a live album launch has not been ruled out !. Watch this space for up to the minute info. BARRIE QUITS VIGO !!! Barrie has today announced that he has quit as drummer/producer with Manchester rock band Green Vigo. Barrie has sighted differences of opinion within the band as his reason for the shock departure. Barrie leaves the band after two and a half years just as they finish a series of live dates and are writing new material for their third album. Barrie is rumoured to already be working on a new project for 2011, which will see him and Alan once again back together, the project is rumoured to involve Vigo bass player Mark Bradley and Moriarty keyboard man Andy Penzak as well as three new vocalists, rumours suggest an album ready for late summer/ early autumn 2011 release but as yet nothing is confirmed. Whilst the Cadwallader-Taylor camp still remains quiet both Alan and Barrie remain very busy Alan is writing for the next project and Barrie is busy with Manchester rock Band Green Vigo. Rumours from the camp suggest that Alan and Barrie may be involved with other collabarations this year some of these being 80's pop singer "denton Krane" Manchester Rock Band "green vigo" and Progressive Rock Outfit "moriarty". Watch this space for up to the minute info. ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT ! Whilst the Cadwallader-Taylor camp remains quiet both Alan and Barrie remain very busy Alan is currenly writing for the next Cadwallader-Taylor project and Barrie is about to record the 2nd album with Top Manchester rock Band Green Vigo. The recent work with vocalist Bonnie Elizabeth is now complete and is currently being mixed. Rumours from the camp suggest another collabaration with Bonnie in the near future but a hectic work schedule could delay this until the new year. Watch this space for up to the minute info. A BIG BANG ! WORLD RECORD A BIG HIT !! On Monday 13th July Barrie took part in the massive "Stick It To MS" event at the NIA Birmingham. The event saw 582 Drummers from all over the U.K. join forces and break the world record for the biggest drum ensemble. (The previous record was 533 set in America). The event was a "BIG HIT" and raised over 20k for MS. For More Information.... www.stickittoms.com/news.html ONWARD ! ONWARD ! It is now confirmed that both Alan and Barrie will team up with Phil Savage (one time Moriarty Manager and Personal Friend) and the sensational vocalist Bonnie Elizabeth (www.bonnieelizabeth.com) to record a version of the YES track "Onward". Work has already started on the backing tracks and as Barrie explains "the backing tracks sound great and we are very excited to be a part of this project with Phil and Bonnie" In addition to this Barrie will take part in "stick it to MS" this is a charity event to raise funds and awareness of MS. The event will take place at the NEC In birmingham on 13th July 2009 where 600 drummers will attempt to break the world record for the largest ever drum ensemble.....more details from www.stickittoms.com NEW STUDIO FINISHED The new RED 55 Studio is now completed. The first track mixed in the new studio was "you are the one" (Green Vigo) Other work is now scheduled over the next few months although Barrie is currently busy playing live with Manchester Rock Outfit GREEN VIGO and Alan is currently working on the next Cadwallader-Taylor project Watch this space for further Updates. NEW STUDIO ! It was decided by the guys back in late October that the studio could do with an overhaul ! The New "red 55" should be finished late February - early March, whilst the main core of the studio remains the same, the vocal side of the studio has seen a vast improvement.
