DRY BAR SHOW IS DRUMMERS SWAN SONG !
Vigo drummer Barrie Taylor announced last night after the Dry Bar gig that he has left Green Vigo.
After two and a half years with the band two albums a single and a video Barrie has decided it is time to move on sighting differences of opinion within the band for his shock decision.
Plans for the third studio album will now be on hold pending his replacement.

OPUS GIG HINDERED BY POOR SOUND !
Vigo fans were a little disappointed with poor sound quality at last night’s OPUS Kid British support gig. A spokesman for the band said “ the guys fell foul to a very poor on stage sound making playing very difficult”. Kid British also suffered at the hands of poor sound, with constant request by their main vocalist/ front man for better on stage sound.

NEW ALBUM LAUNCH SEES THIS BAND RIDING HIGH
Last Night saw Green Vigo rock the house to a capacity sold out audience at the Manchester Academy 3. The “Back at Five” album launch was certainly not a band all at sea.
The one hour show included all of the tracks from the new album as well as many favourites. Highlights included the Chad & Mike (Keyboards) duet for “Cracks Break” and the ever popular “You are the One”.
New songs “Candy” “Perfect World” and “Hey Me” are sure to be the next big vigo favourites.
Hardcore fans and those who were unable to get a ticket will have chance to see the whole event, as the show was filmed for a DVD release later this year.
This launch without doubt places this band on the crest of a wave !
VIGO SET TO PAINT THE TOWN GREEN !
“Back at Five” The latest album from the Vigo boys is guaranteed to rock the city at the official album launch next month. The Album recorded during the autumn is rumoured to be very different from the first album “penthouse bus stop” (now available on the music page for free download) with some tracks offering a more “American” feel. The bad are currently in rehearsals for the launch gig which will take place on Saturday 6th Feb at Manchester ACADEMY 3. Sure fire hits from the album include “candy” “in the 90’s” and “perfect world” The album launch is set to be the finest Vigo performance to date with the whole album rumoured to be on the set list. VIGO UN-PLUG ALL THE STOPS..... !
Saturday Night saw Green Vigo perform their first ever live "unplugged" set !
The 1st ever Vigo Unplugged set was delivered at Manchester's GREEN ROOM as part of the Green Bohemia - In The City all day music events. The band played a selection of Vigo favourites but all re-worked to suite a more subtle acoustic performance, Martin added "we have spent the last few weeks working on this set and had long discussions about which tracks worked best in this environment hopefully everyone enjoyed the acoustic versions"
VIGO TAKE MOHO BY STORM !
Green Vigo once again "delivered the goods" last night at the mighty "Club Indigo Night" at Manchester's premier live event MOHO.
Vigo as always delivered a flawless live set which included Vigo favourites such as "You Are The One" "Raise Your Glasses" "Back At Five" and the Manchester themed "Penthouse Bus Stop".
Surprise addition to the live set was a superb cover version of Wings "Live and Let Die" which in true vigo style was delivered flawlessly !

VIGO CONFIRM NEXT ALBUM !
NEWS has just been released that Green Vigo will begin recording their 2nd studio album at the end of October.
A spokesman for the band said "the guys will finish all pending live dates before starting work on the album"
It is believed that the guys will use a Studio out in Motram Cheshire although this has not been confirmed as yet.
News of the second album comes just as the band are finalising the re-work of the first album "Penthouse Bus Stop" to include whizz keyboards man Mike McGeoch

On Friday 14th August Martin will make his radio DJ debut along side top Manchester radio presenter TREV FARRAND !
Martin will appear live on Trev's "One Step Beyond" show, on the massively popular Manchester On Line Radio
The Show is Scheduled to go out 7 - 9pm on Friday evening be sure to listen in !
WORLD RECORD A BIG HIT !!
On Monday 13th July Barrie took part in the massive
"Stick It To MS"
event at the NIA Birmingham.
The event saw 582 Drummers from all over the U.K.
join forces and break the world record for the biggest drum ensemble.
(The previous record was 533 set in America).
The event was a "BIG HIT" and raised over 20k for MS.

Barrie will form part of 600 drummers who will attempt to break the world record for the largest ever drum ensemble.

KEYBOARD PLAYER BREAKS FINGER !
Adding to the recent run of Vigo bad luck keyboard player Mike has broken a finger.
Mike broke the finger whilst running as he stumbled and fell,
Mike said "I was taking my usual daily run when I simply stumbled and fell I knew the finger was broken immediately"
Mike who was the hero of the recent Roadhouse gig is hoping to be back playing in the next few weeks.
We wish Mike a speedy recovery.
BASS PLAYER COLLAPSES AT SOUND CHECK !
Bass Player Mark Bradley is currently making a speedy recovery after collapsing at the Roadhouse Sound check yesterday afternoon.
Mark who has been suffering from a virus for a few weeks collapsed just before the Vigo sound check and was today resting at home.
Left without a Bass player at short notice keyboard Wizard, Mike took over the Bass guitar role with a faultless performance ! on some songs even playing both Keyboards and Bass !!
With Vigo rising from the Ashes the crowd once again were thrilled with the usual Vigo flair.
Despite the Missing Mark Bradley Filming did take place and further studio filming is scheduled in the next few weeks.
We wish Mark A speedy recovery.

Last night saw the band play the prestigious MANCHESTER RITZ
Once again delivering a faultless on stage performance !
The packed Ritz venue saw the band open their night with "back at five" now fast becoming a favourite with Vigo fans and then straight into Vigo favourite "raise your glasses"
The live set once again included a full band version of "breaking free" and a medley style link between album track "in a nutshell" and brand new track "peasant limousine"
The night ended with a superb delivery of the catchy hit "you are the one"
which saw fans screaming for more !

Tea at the Ritz
News from the Vigo Camp is that the guys are busy in rehearsals for the forthcoming Manchester "Ritz" gig on Friday 20th March.
The Band are working on some new arrangements specifically designed for the "Ritz" performance that are sure to delight Vigo Fans.......

VIGO ROCK THE DRY BAR
Green Vigo delivered a flawless 45 minute set yesterday evening at the Manchester Dry Bar
The slightly later than scheduled start saw the debut performance of new keyboard man Mike who was a huge hit with the capacity audience.
The band played songs from their debut album "penthouse bus stop" and some brand new songs "peasant limousine" and "waiting to be born".
The band also played a re-worked full band version of the acoustic album track
"breaking free" which went down a storm with regular Vigo goers...
The band will now take a short break before commencing rehearsals for the next gig

NEW BAND MEMBER CONFIRMED !!
The band today confirmed the arrival of Keyboard Player Mike McGeoch.
Mike a (seasoned musician who has worked with Shayne Ward and N Trance) joined forces with the band just a few weeks ago having just returned from touring out in Europe and the Caribbean.
Mike will make his debut performance with the band at the next gig (see Live Vigo)

Green Vigo's headline gig at Manchester Academy 3 brings the house down
Last nights "Penthouse Bus Stop" album launch brought the house down to a sold out Academy 3
The band delivered a flawless set which included all of the tracks from the latest album plus a brand new track "back at five" which proved to be a big hit with the audience.
Other tracks which were a big hit with the capacity audience were a live version of the album track "breaking free" and the ever popular smash hits "penthouse bus stop" "running on empty" and the superb "you are the one".

The band today announced that the much talked about debut album "Penthouse Bus Stop" is finished. Chad explained "the album was delayed by the departure of Tony, once Mark had joined and replaced the bass parts we then had to mix the album which all took time"
The Album is currently being mastered and pressed and will be available at the Academy 3 gig next month (see live vigo for information)
The forthcomming Album "Penthouse Bus Stop" has been delayed as Mark Bradley replaces the Bass Guitar Parts. The Parts will be re-recorded at Mark's personal studio "Starsky's Hutch" The Album will now be re-scheduled for a late October Launch.
Mark Bradley is confirmed as the new Green Vigo Bass Player, Mark joins the band after the search for a replacement for Tony Powell. Mark is a seasoned bass player with many years playing experience with such bands as Pulse, The Feel, Panacea, Hoi Polloi and more recently The Executive. Mark was asked to learn the full Green Vigo repetoire in just 6 days due to rehearsal constraints. "the guys called me and explained I had 6 days to learn the songs and then sent me a CD in the post !"
It is with regret that the band announce the departure of Tony Powell founder member and bass player. Tony has left the band for personal reasons and leaves as the band are fininshing the recording of the forthcomming album "Penthouse Bus Stop"
Martin, guitarist with the band said "Tony is a superb musician and a very close friend he will be sadly missed, his reasons for leaving are personal and all of the band wish him well in the future"
